Of procrastination and Hershey's Kisses

One thing that I realised over the years, is that I am a terrible procrastinator.

Procrastination which grew from a minuscule seed of an "i-will-do-it-tomorrow" excuse (which resulted in me really doing the task the next day) to a flowering tree of "i-will-do-it-tomorrow" excuses (which results in a particular task taking an unreasonably long time to complete, or it ends up never being done) has become a practically unbreakable habit that lives within me.

A typical Siew Yen example of procrastination :

Today, I finally sat down and looked through some MABECS booklets properly and tried to decide what course to do and which university to go to. It sounds like a progressive step towards the future, right, until you take into account that I've been having those MABECS booklets in my possession for about 9 months. And during my MABECS booklet-reading session, I decided to procrastinate even more and walked downstairs to find something to munch on.
Lo and behold, I discovered an unopened pack of Hershey's Kisses and I brought back 3 Hershey's Kisses to my study table. Now anyone would think that I couldn't have procrastinated any further, but no, Siew Yen takes it one step further. After I ate those 3 Hershey's, I still felt like eating more, so I gave in to temptation and went down to grab another 5 Hershey's.
As a result, it took me ages to go through the MABECS booklets and I gained unnecessary calories from those 8 Hershey's.

Talk about procrastination combined with a slice of greed!

There's my unfinished Statistics homework calling me right now, but I think I'll procrastinate it further by checking my e-mail first.

What can I say, old habits die hard.
