Sweet November

Sweet November

Today is a day for back pats.

I actually got into class before my Accounting lecturer did, understood what she was trying to teach and didn't fall asleep in the process of it! *pats own back smugly and satisfiedly*

Someone also commented that today I look very ''cheng san'' which means alert and fresh. =p
I even got questions asking why am I so hyperactive, which is an abnormality because I normally look like I'm fighting a losing battle between my sleep-deprived brain and my desperate will to stay awake in class.
Don't you think I deserve another back pat?

I realised that today is the 1st of November.
Which means mocks are coming up in a month's time!!! *pulls hair and screams in horror*

Oh, the joys and horrors of being a student.

I also remembered a certain movie I watched entitled 'Sweet November' starring Keanu Reeves and err...another actress.

Did I mention Keanu Reeves is so damn drop-dead gorgeous and has a hard, cool, cynical aura about him? I bet you girls already knew that...

A rather typical love story, featuring Keanu Reeves as this high-flying corporate guy who causes a lady to be kicked out of a driving test because she helped him cheat. And this lady radically changes his life by asking him to stay with her for one month, November, and during that one month, she will teach him to let go of his corporate mentality and to appreciate the important things in life, and we're not talking about Ferrari's or Rolexes here, ya. As you can probably predict, they both fall in love and he passes up this fantastic job offer because he realises that he loves her more than that job, even if it means his friendship with his friend who wants him to take the job gets damaged. So, kudos to the lady for teaching him to drop out of the rat-race.

As can be expected, the lady has some sort of terminal illmess that she tries to keep secret and she wants him to leave her so that he doesn't have to go through the heart-wrenching process of watching her die. The story ends with her asking him to close his eyes. When he opens his eyes, she is no longer there and he can't find her when he looks for her.

There's not much surprise to be found in the story-line, but this show sort of has its own sweetness about it. Though I could be a teensy-weensy bit biased towards the show because I think Keanu Reeves is hot. =p
And its fun to see him change from a corporate shark to a sweet, fun-loving and caring person who finally knows whats important in life.

My tv is calling out to me. Tonight's Healing Hands III will show someone being killed off so I don't wanna miss a minute of it.

Adios people.
