What guys should know

What guys should know

My wellspring of words seem to have hit a dry spell.

Its normally a case of the words leaping out from my fingertips onto the monitor. But today, the words all seem to have gone into hiding.

They silently mock me while playing hide-and-seek in my brain. Or maybe they're just taking a coffee break and refuse to come out. Or maybe, there are no words to describe what I want to say.

Stares at the monitor. *I should be studying*
I'll just go off on a wild tangent than. *Bloody words*
Wait till I find your hiding place and I'll catch you then.

Okay, this one's for guys who can't tell exactly what their girlfriends are doing or what they mean and what they want.

1. There are some things that we want you to do for us that we can't tell you directly, otherwise there is no meaning in you doing it.

2. Never ever keep us waiting, especially if its a date. Unless you have a cast-iron reason like your relative got hospitalized or you were buying us flowers. =p

3. When we keep you waiting, don't sigh and look at your watch when we finally arrive.

4. When we ask you apologetically how long you've waited, just smile and say, "Oh, just a couple of minutes." And because we know that we were late and kept you waiting, we will love you even more for it.

5. When we say, "Its nothing." Don't take it at face value.

6. When we say, "Its really nothing, " followed by a sigh or a tiny frown or sulk, watch out because you're definitely in trouble and about to get screwed upside down.

7. Flowers aren't meant for only anniversaries and birthdays or occasions. A single flower on a normal day will really make us smile.

8. Surprise us and order us a perfect meal and know what we like and do not like to eat.

9. When we tear at a sad movie, don't ever laugh at us although you think that the movie is a real turkey.

10. Carry our books/shopping bags/things for us eventhough we say we can manage. We're not looking for slaves, but sometimes, we'd really enjoy you treating us like queens.

This is getting fun...

11. When we drag you on a 8-hour shopping spree, don't look like you're about to drop dead from boredom eventhough you feel like it.

12. When we scream at bugs/rodents, be a hero and clear it for us. You're only allowed to tease us mildly about it after that thing is disposed of.

13. Open and hold doors for us like the gallant gentleman that you.

14. When we beat you up in anger, no matter how much it hurts, smile gallantly and let us continue doing it. After all, how much damage can we do? Unless we know karate and we've just found out you cheated on us or something. Haha.

15. When we're really disappointed over something, just hold us and sooth us by saying things that we want to hear. We're looking for comfort, not for the brutal truth that we already know.

16. When we talk to other guys, the caveman-glaring-daggers-at-the-other guy-routine doesn't impress us. It just shows how much of a Neanderthal you are. However, its definitely NOT the same if you start talking to other girls. =p

17. If you're trying to get back by flirting with this babe, we'll get even by flirting with this droolsome hunk. And remember, guys are more susceptible to a girl flirting with them than a girl would be if a guy suddenly flirts with her.

18. We have extremely long memories. Don't bother lying to us because we will catch you out 3 weeks later when you've forgotten about it.

19. I will talk about you to my girlfriends so be prepared that they will know about how our relationship is going. You on the other hand are not supposed to divulge anything to your buddies other than a customary "We're doing fine," answer. We don't need your guy friends knowing how we look like with a hangover or flu.

20. Don't hound us about who we're going out with. You on the other hand should tell us who you're going out with without us asking. If we ask, you'll complain that we nag. Statistics show that guys are more likely to initiate a one night stand so we'd just like to know for safety's sake. =p

Still interested in dating or have I totally knocked you flat? Hehe.

I'm really enjoying this but its time for me to end for today. Don't worry, I'll be back with more things another time.

Disclaimer : This doesn't reflect exactly 100% of what every girl in the universe wants or feels and thinks about certain things. Its just my opinion. =)
