The Curve
11:10 PM
The Curve

Was going to the Curve with Amery, Bernice, Clareen, Robyn and Sarah. Planned to meet Bernice and Clareen at KJ station at 10.45. Seeing that I slept at 5am doing err...well I slept at 5am la, I was squeezing every bit of sleep I could and consequentially running 5 minutes late.

Arrives at the station at 10.50 and calls Clareen to find out that she is waiting for Bernice to come to her house.

Ohmybloodyhellwhyonearthdidn'tyoutell me?!

Robyn msges me and I tell her sadly not to expect us anytime soon as I'm waiting for Cla and Bernice. And I also tell her to think of ways to kill them both when she sees them. =p

Considers walking back home but I think hopefully that they'll be there in a bit. I don't even have my Ipod as I thought I was going to be the one who'd be late. Sigh. Its a lucky thing that I have credit and I start msging people in hope that a kind soul will entertain me and my complaints and whines about my two "punctual" friends.

At 11.20 Clareen tells me that she is still waiting for Bernice. I get wolf-whistles and suggestive comments from this chinese boy with his friends whom I don't even bother to dignify with a glance. Sigh, which part of my decently dressed body and garish make-up free face looks like a damn hooker?! Damn, its only 11.20am and its a respectable area ok? You desperate for hookers go Petaling Street la! What a complete arse of a lantern.

At 11.30, I discover that Bernice is somehow taking the train to KJ and Clareen is about to leave her house. When I ask how long more they will take she tells me that they will arrive pretty soon. For goodness sakes give me a number so I can decide whether to go home or not. I hate it when people tell me "soon". Tell me 5 minutes and both you and I will be much happier. =)

I have seen 2 buses come and go to Ikea. Five buses to 1U have gone already. And people keep approaching me to ask if the bus to 1U has left already. And when is the next bus. And they ask me where is Giant.

Hello?? Do I look like a tourist information counter?
Are there the words "bus station asst" written on my head?

I smile politely and tell them in gentle tones what they want to know.

I harass Clareen at a quarter to 12 to discover that she is near KJ. Now, I don't know about your assumption of near, but MY assumption of near is 5 mins away, 10 mins tops. She arrives in 15 minutes and is bombarded by me scolding her. She stands there nervously while I vent off my 90 minutes of waiting at a bus stop for her.

We go to Guardian to enjoy the air-cond while waiting for Bernice. Bernice shows up at 12.40 and before I can begin my verbal barrage, she apologizes profusely and I'm unable to get in a word. When she stops, I begin but I've already lost momentum so it wasn't as powerful as poor Clareen who had to bear the brunt of it. =p

I think Clareen was shell-shocked at my barrage. She tells Bernice that she should have heard what I said to her. And that people were looking when I was bombarding her. Oops, hehe. But you both should start learning to quantify time or I'm not going out with you both again. They try to sooth my injured and annoyed self by promising that they'll buy me a movie and a drink. Nice try, but no cigar. =p

I count and realize that I've waited for 2 hours for this 2 monkeys to show up. I could have eaten a hearty breakfast and slept more and still have time to spare. *sigh and shakes head*

Now before you all start making snide comments, I do know that punctuality is not my strongest point, but I have never made anyone wait for 2 hours and I do try and msg earlier if I know I'll be running late. Heck, I msged Clareen that I'll be 15 mins late and she doesn't msg me to tell me that she's still waiting for Bernice at her house at 10.45 when she's supposed to meet me. How not to think of ways to murder those two when you've got loads of time on your hands from waiting for them? =p

And for those 2 hours, you both are never allowed to complain anymore if I'm ever late in meeting you. Ever. =)

Oh and thank you to that wonderful soul who was kind and free enough to entertain me. I owe you one, as always. ;)

That ranting done and over with, we cab to the Curve to meet the rest. Robyn's been waiting for 2 hours too, but she wasn't alone and she was in a lovely air-cond shopping complex with things to see and buy. But, I promised her a part in killing the both of them. Haha.

With tummies a-growling, we head off to 'Sakae Sushi' for lunch. Its a bit like Sushi King with the conveyor belt but each table has a computer screen and you can order your food through the terminal. As there were 6 of us, we sat on the low table with the hole underneath where you can put your feet in. I think we made a lot of noise while ordering as the guy from the next table looked at us. Oops. *blushes*

We girl-talked and gossiped while eating and exchanging juicy little tid-bits of scandal-raising information. We only realized how noisy we were when during a lull in the conversation, the whole place suddenly seemed so quiet as we stopped talking. Maybe that was why we were receving glances from other patrons, hmmm? Hehe.

Sat there till 4-ish before we decided to walk around. I wonder why do we always take so long to eat at Japanese restaurants. The last time in Sungai Wang, we sat at the Jap place for almost 4 hours till they were bored of us and probably wanted to kick us out. =p

Cross over to the Cineleisure and buy some accesories and make-up. Oh and I get to do my "economics saving money lecture" to Clareen and Sarah. Haha. It goes something like this...

Me : Do you really need it? *with a you-should-save-money frown*
Sarah : I've been looking for it for some time.
Me : Is it absolutely essential? *emphasize on the essential*
Sarah : Err..yeah?
Me : How many of that thing do you already have?
Sarah : Quite a bit la...
Me : Is it really that necessary till you can't live without it?
Sarah : If I don't buy it, I scared I can't sleep tonight.

With a reply like that, what can I say? Haha.

Anyway, the whole point of the lecture is to help them see if they really really want that thing. And it tends to work. There are several variations to this, but it basically boils down to that.

Oh, and I'm pretty immune against it. So don't try and turn my weapon against me. Unless you're damn good at it and know the exact right buttons to push and I'm seriously wavering on whether to buy it or not.

Sarah got her necklace at a lower price than she was willing to pay for thanks to us buying other stuff there + all the bargaining + muka kesian face + the its-over-my-budget line. Haha.

Went over to the Bodyshop and converted more people into appreciating the wonderful smells of their body butter. Especially the grapefruit and golden apple flavours. I think the grapefruit smells a bit jambu-ish, but its quite nice. I feel most of the flavours smell pretty good except for the mango and papaya flavour. But then, I've never really liked mango or papaya either.

We watch a bit of the lion dance performance and Sarah disappears for her date. The rest of us head on to Secret Recipe for a drink and something to munch on.

Clareen orders a currypuff and the rest of us split some cakes. When Clareen decides to pop over to Ikea to take-away their currypuffs (which are delicious) for her parents and mine, our food comes and we polish off the cakes within minutes. Now, there's only left this lovely looking pastry oozing curry smells. And its owner is out of sight. You tell me what happens next? =p

Bernice and I are tempted to take a bite. As she doesn't seem to be coming back, we get concerned over her eating a currypuff that would be cold and being such concerned friends, we start in on her currypuff and decide to order her a new one. 3 bites into the currypuff and Clareen is back. Uh-oh. *guilty looks*

She switches her order to a tomyam puff. Bernice, Robyn and I tak tahan and we order a black pepper lamb pie. Haha. Yes, I know we are such pigs, but they really do taste good. And that's dinner for Clareen and I anyway.

Upon taking a cab back, the cabbie said fixed rate RM20 and I was like, "What the hell, we cab here for 7 bucks and you want us to pay triple that?!" Bloody rip-off! We had to settle for a fixed rate of RM12 from another cabbie. Stupid cabbie conman!

We arrive at 8-plus and I cross my fingers and hope I don't get told off by my mum as I said I'd be back around 7-ish. Oh, and I bought her 'tau sa peng' and Ikea currypuffs not to placate her for my lateness but because I know she likes them, ok. See, I'm such a fillial daughter. =p

I get off without a scolding. Hehe.

p/s : Amery, if you're reading this please send me the pics so I can post them up. Thanks.
