Hectic splurging

I haven't gone so long without posting something except for the time when I was swamped under with UCAS applications and I was away on holiday.

Let me show you why I was so busy...

Thursday
I had class from 8am to 6pm with a break from 2-4. I had 4 subjects on that day and all 4 subjects had homework out of which 2 was due the next day. And after rushing thorough the work, I stayed up till 2am to finish reading Jodi Piccoult's 'My Sister's Keeper' because I absolutely had to know what happened in the end.

Friday
Class from 8 to 12. Maths teacher called in to say that she'd only be in class at 9. So a bunch of us decided to grab some breakfast at the mamak. Class ended at 12 with loads of homework and Simone, Ai Kheng, Joanne, Clareen and I headed to Megamall by ourselves as the rest didn't want to go. Walked around and ate Kenny Rogers for lunch. Cla and I sat down there chatting while the rest waited for us at Brewball where they got addicted to pool. Met them at Brewball at 3 and played a few games before the 3 of them went off while Cla and I continued shopping as we had some time to kill. I managed to buy something before we cabbed to Bangsar. =)

The cabbie wouldn't turn on his meter but asked for RM5. And he only said this after we got into the cab. But we didn't want to be late and he was rather jovial and pleasant so we just paid up. Sigh. Oh and there was a lady who wanted to steal our cab. We were standing in front of her and I don't know if she didn't see us or what, but she reached the cab faster than us. Before I could get close enough to say anything to her, she asked the cabbie to take her to Cheras. While she was talking to the cabbie, I was already glaring daggers at her and at her 2 other younger companions. I already thought out what scathingly sarcastic remarks I was going to say to her, but in the end the cabbie didn't want to take her to Cheras. See, God's fair after all. =p As Cla and I walked up, I heard her companions say that we were there first, but I guess she didn't hear or didn't want to hear it. I shot her and her companions a very dirty and contemptuous look as we got into the cab. Yes, I totally loathe it when people try to steal my cabs.

My dad picked me up from Bangsar and we headed back to *yes, you guessed it* Megamall as he needed to buy some things. I bought another item and we went to get some groceries before eating a late dinner at this 'Chopstik Noodle House' where I got my favourite curry laksa which was pretty good. Cause normally when you eat curry laksa at the end of the day, you tend to get oily icky remnants of the day's soup. Reached home at 10.30 and I didn't bother starting on my work as I was so drop dead tired.

I've been out of the house for more than 13 hours and I've spent 7 of those hours in Megamall. Oh and I think the deco in Megamall are a little freaky and scary. They look like giant pink fungus of some sort. They're actually some sort of China cloth umbrellas without the handles. There was a lion dance today too. I wonder if its the same lion dance troupe like the ones I saw in The Curve and One Utama.

I bought this 3 little clips which are really wooden pegs with a nice decoration on the top for 99 cents. I knew the cost of producing the clips were probably dirt-cheap but I couldn't resist it cause they were so cute.

If you recall, I previously mentioned that my dad bought this wrist-rest thing when you use the mouse that comes in the shape of animals for RM 3.90. If you can't remember, then just check out the picture below.
I saw it being sold at Megamall for RM 12.90!

Wah, 330% profit wei! Even adding in the cost of transportation, packaging and rental, at the very least it should come up to more than 100% profit.

This is why entrepreneurs love China so much. ;)
