Antithesis

Just as yesterday was such a lovely day, today turned out to be the total opposite.

Firstly, law class cancelled, which was sort of a nice thing (though I hope my lecturer is alright) cause it means I can go for netball. Secondly, my Math lecturer is on the 4th chapter and I'm 2 chapters behind in homework and I don't know what she's doing. Today in class...

Lecturer : So how many of you did this question
Complete silence...
Lecturer : Wait, how many of you actually finished your homework?
Still complete silence...
Lecturer : You really need to keep up to date with your homework, this is the final term of A-Levels blah blah blah. What's the point of me teaching on when you have to keep trying to catch up. So do you want me to continue teaching on?

Me : No
Stunned silence and people turn around to look at me. Oops. Hehe.

I didn't expect the class to be so quiet. But honestly, I was just voicing out what at least 75% of the class feels. Its just that they're too scared or shy or they just don't care and don't wanna say it out loud. Well, excuse me for being honest and bold enough to say it out loud!

Rush off to Stats class because there's about 50-odd students and its a 1 hour class and most students who want to pay attention in class generally don't want to sit right at the back. The
Stats students crowd the hallway outside the classroom and wait for the current lecturer to get out. After a few peeks in the clear plastic pane, we can see that their class is over but they seem to be taking their own sweet time to get out of class.

Because there wasn't anyone emerging from the room, 2 of my classmates got fed up and went in. We started to enter the room as there wasn't a steady stream of out-coming students. When about half the class was filled and more of my classmates were coming in, the lecturer told us off for coming into the room eventhough it wasn't vacated.

Lecturer : What happened to courtesy? Even before you board an elevator, you step aside to let people out before getting in so why should this be any different? I have heard that you A 46 students are a learned batch so you shouldn't be needing me, a senior lawyer to tell you this kind of thing. If you ever go to court and show this kind of manners yadda yadda yadda...

Well, yes, technically we weren't very polite in entering the room before you vacated but if you looked at the clock on the wall, it was past 11.05 and technically you're supposed to finish your class at 11. And also if you had noticed, there are 50-odd students who have to stand in the hallway waiting for you and your students to vacate the area.

And while we understand that you end up finishing late sometimes, the least you could do when you finish late is to ask your students to move out of class swiftly so we can come in. Or lead by example and answer your students question outside the classroom.

And if you say our manners don't hold up in court etc., what about your version of punctuality? (This point was put forward by Wai Ee. =p) If you're supposed to finish at 11 then finish it by 11. If you're supposed to be in court at 11 and you come in at 11.05, the presiding judge will probably strike your case off and you have to wait for another round and get sued for malpractice by your irate client. So how's that for court manners, Sir/Madam Senior Lawyer?

And yes, I admit again that we learned students were in breach of etiquette by entering the classroom before the lecturer left. But had the lecturer and his/her students left on time, we wouldn't have to stand outside and finally walk into the class and display our discourtesy.

So after those stinging remarks, we went on to accounts class where we muddled our way thorough the lesson as usual. Lunched at Mama's Kitchen (which I said I'd never go there again after my sour fishballs) and played there and lost some of what I won the previous day.

Through out the 2 hour lunch, made quite a few calls to determine if Sook Teng, Wai Ee and I were staying back for netball and if we were not, how we were going home cause it was raining. Zhan Sheng, thanks very much for offering to fetch us back eventhough you were at your friends house "hoi toi-ing" and for putting up with us and coming back eventhough we changed our minds and decided to stay back. Thank you. =)

From nEutral...
Siew called Zhansheng both times, and I assume Zhansheng said he was going to scold her or something like that, because Sook heard Siew going, "Don't scold me now, you can scold me when go home k"... and Sook was like, "I didn't know Siew stays in the same house as Zhansheng". Hahahaha. *wink wink*

I have an excellent explanation for the above paragraph and all its insinuations. Firstly, Zhan Sheng didn't or hadn't scolded me yet, but I felt so bad about calling him up and changing our decisions that I decided that it'd be okay if he scolded me. Just that I'd prefer he scold me (if he really want to) later cause my phone credit was ticking away. But Zhan Sheng, you won't scold me cause you very nice one right? =) Secondly, I meant scold me later as in when I was back home then he can scold me lar. Aiyoh, Sook Teng ah Sook Teng, like that also you can think of ah? And Wai Ee is no innocent angelic bystander, horr?

So put away all those smutty thoughts and naughty insinuations from your mind, okay. And Wai Ee, my parang is being sharpened. Hehe.

Decided to wait till 5.45 for Sook's mum to pick us up so we went to McD's to grab a bite and do homework. I resisted temptation and did not get anything as I had lunch 2 hours ago and I had McD's yesterday. However, we ended up playing Chor Dai Dee for fun instead of doing work. =p

Saw Ezra outside the lower foyer and he very kindly fetched me back and we talked about some really random subjects. Hehe. I am random at times la.

My 9.30 drama ended today. It was sort of a happy ending. But I always feel sad when my tv drama's end and I quite liked that drama show.

I know that its wrong to judge, but sometimes I think that you should take a step back and look at what you're doing. Yes, it is within your right to do what you did, but is what you did actually right? Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should do it. I think I feel sorry for you if you cannot see or grasp that much. I should know, someone swept me off my feet and made me re-look everything from a different angle. And as for you, I'm sorry for you and I sympathize with you. Once more, Murphy's Law proves itself true.
