Malaise and murder

The symptoms are there.
The diagnosis is out.
Its confirmed.
I'm morphing into a weekend blogger. AHHHHHHH!!!!!

I feel bad and guilty that my blog lies untouched on weekdays and suddenly springs to life once Friday comes. Nevermind, I'm on meds for it and seriously trying to kick the habit. =p

In short, what have I been doing for the past few days?

Monday :
Netball tourney. We won. What else did you expect? =p

Tuesday :
Got unceremoniously kicked out from law tutorial along with everyone else except for 5 people. I could have stayed and gotten away with it but I decided to be honest. Hehe.

Wednesday :
Went shopping. Bought 3 black tops. Don't start rolling your eyes yet cause I was looking for 2 of the tops. The 3rd one just came along as a pleasant surprise. So its justifiable. Sort of. =)

Thursday :
Watched 'Just Follow Law' by Jack Neo at Midvalley with the college mates cause its raining so I couldn't go home or stay for netball. The college mates decided to skip tutorial after what happened in lecture as they didn't do their work also. Hehe.

'Just Follow Law' is quite a good show!! Funny and thought-provoking....it has all the nice, ugly and familiar bits of Malaysian and Singaporean behaviour rolled into one movie. What else could you expect from the director of 'I Not Stupid'? This show is recommendable for all Malaysians and fans of Fann Wong and Gurmit Singh. Seriously. =)

Friday :
Math test results. I passed. Period. 'Pan's Labyrinth' in KLCC. Which also means I get to stroll in their park, something I haven't done for ages. 'Pan's Labyrinth' is dark and creepy. A bit gross in some places too. The boundaries between the real and imaginary world is well blurred creating a smooth and seamless transition. Definitely not for kids, unless you wanna give them nightmares. Pretty good for a Spanish movie. I enjoyed the show, along with the comfortable seats. =p

Did not buy anything. Self-control proved to be stronger than desire. I am making progress here. Hehe. Never ever take the LRT from KLCC at 6pm. Either leave before 5pm or after dinner. Made that mistake and was stunned to see a super-duper long queue snaking around the whole station. The security guard had to stand at the door and exhort people to get into the train quickly and to jam-pack themselves to make more space for incoming passengers. *grimace* Got on to the train and it was like a super-squeezed tin of sardines. Couldn't find anything to hold on to and had to balance oneself as the train sped and swayed on the track. Had I fainted, I wouldn't have to worry about crashing to the floor as my body would be supported by all the other surrounding bodies. If someone on the train had SARS, all the passengers would probably be infected due to the extremely close contact. *shudders*

Saturday :
Got out of bed in time for lunch. After seeing me come home with a shopping bag for the past 2 weeks and hearing me extoll on the virtues of Bangsar shopping, my mum decides to give it a shot and I gladly bring her to Bangsar for some shopping.

During lunch...
Mum : I wonder if your dad is sending you there for classes or to shop?
Me : Well, if he picked me up punctually then I wouldn't have time to shop, would I? *grins*

We go to Blook and People's and Cats Whiskers and Little Black Book. Plus a couple more boutiques which I can't remember their names. I caution my mum not to buy what she likes upon the first time entering the shop as she might see something else better for a cheaper price. After all, you can always go back and buy that item but you can't go back and get a refund. =p

I get 2 dresses from Cats Whiskers and my mum buys the corduroy pants that I've been eyeing for her ever since I saw it. One of the dresses is a white version of the blue dress that I tried on last week. And another is the black version of a lovely white dress that is almost perfectly perfect except that its rather thin, if you get my meaning. As I was trying on the latter white dress and stepped out to get a better look, a girl next to us said to her friend in Cantonese, "Looks like a doll." Since I wasn't sure if they were talking about me or not, I quickly scrutinized my reflection in the mirror to see which part of me looks like a doll. Probably the sweet and innocent face...Hehehe. Or maybe I was just being perasaan. Lolz!

While browsing in Cats Whiskers, I noticed that the same ladies whom I saw shopping in Blook and People's and Little Black Book were in Cats Whiskers also. It was like a shopping tour where we kept seeing the same faces over and over again.

At a boutique on Telawi 3...
Mum : Hmmm...after seeing the prices in the other shop (Cats Whiskers), everything else seems expensive lah!
Me : Yup, yup. Now you know why I bought so much stuff there.
Mum : This shop got no sale, all fixed price and got minimum amount for credit card summore. No wonder got no customer lah!
Me : Yealorr (Aiya, this shop don't accept credit card means I can't get the top I want lah.)

Bengang-ness betul!

I've got strict orders to buy a certain item if that shop ever has a sale. Even 10% discount also buy. Hehe. I've so succeeded in subverting my mum to the wonders of Bangsar shopping. ;)

Had my first butter crabs of the year for dinner. And oh boy, am I stuffed. Its a bit tough finishing off the crabs without my sister around as she totally loves to eat crabs.

In the car...
Mum : *talking to my dad* Your daughter ah, say bring me go shopping in Bangsar but end up she buy more things than me!
Me : What, where got! We each bought 2 items what! Somemore your skirt more expensive than both my dresses.
Dad : When she (meaning my sis) comes back than the 3 of you can go shopping...

My dad's smart enough to be neutral and not take sides. =p

On the way to Baskin Robins outside Riana Green, the car next to us sounds its horn and we turn to see my uncle and cousins waving to us.
Me : Do you think they're going to Baskin Robins?
Dad : I bet you they're going to Baskin Robins! Lets just follow behind their car.
Me : I bet they'll go Centrepoint cause its the nearest outlet. *texts my cousin to ask where's he going*
Mum : Eh, don't go Centrepoint la. Go to the outlet in Uptown.
Dad : Why? Centrepoint so near dowan to go but must go Uptown which is further.
Mum : Cause Centrepoint got very limited variety ma!

This is how far my family goes for ice-cream. Hehe. My cousin texts me to say that they are also going to Baskin Robins because today is the 31st. What a funny coincidence.

On a total count for the past 8 days, I have watched 3 movies, went to KLCC twice, had 5 hours of sleep straight for 2 days which turned out to be hectic days, did 2 rounds of Bangsar shopping, went to Midvalley once, got kicked out of class for the first time in the past 15 months, won a netball tourney and broke someone's heart. Quite an achievement, yes?

I know its a long post but I don't think I'll be able to blog till next weekend, so bear with me and my ramblings patiently as this post is supposed to last you till the next time round.

Its funny how some people can just get away with bloody murder while others simply can't...
