Cinderella's cauldron

Haven't been updating my blog as I've had a hectic 4 days. I'll make up for it now so be warned, its gonna be a super long post. =)

Thursday :
College as usual. Won back some from Wil Liam and Ee Wei. (This is getting addictive =p) Went for netball with Wai Ee and Sook. There were 2 guys training alongside us in netball which is a good thing as it helps us girls to improve. Also, we don't get any 'contact' from them because they have to stay far away from us which works out quite well if you're a shooter. Hehe. Other than that, it was nice to exercise again though my whole playing is so damn off form and my stamina is pathetically low.

Friday :
College as usual. My dad picks me up late and in turn makes me late for camp. Arrive 40 minutes late in school without any dinner. Karl Son, Huey-In and Zhen Quan pop by and Karl stays to 'yum char' with us later. As told to me by someone...

Mr. Ravi : Who's car is that? *in a slightly belligerent tone*
Huey-In : That's my mum's car.

Dot dot dot. What an answer!

I get served Maggee Mee for dinner, typical camp food. Thanks for cooking it. =) I end up doing some Math work as I have spare time on my hands. Caroline, Beng, Karl and I have McD's for supper where I eat a choc sundae *yummy!* which is bad, cause supper is bad for your waistline and its ice-cream with chocolate sauce which is calorie-loaded which makes it even worse.

Quotes Wai Ee, "
McD's is evilllll!"

Saturday :
Happy 19th birthday Lim Cze Wien! Have a blessed and happy birthday surrounded by loving friends and family.

Early dental appointment and I'm off to school to help out at camp. Went out for brunch and I get to eat my 'yau char kwai' from outside Chow Yang which is like the bestest place to buy 'yau char kwai'. A direct translation from Canto to English would be 'yau char kwai' = 'oil fried devils'. What an apt name since they're so oily but they're so nice and crispy and warm that they devilishly tempt you to have another stick of them. Okay, this is starting to sound like a 'Siew Yen-pigs-out-as-usual' kinda post.

We're supposed to plan a commando cross for the juniors and we relish every second of planning mind-numbing, bone-cutting weary obstacles for them to cross. Though I think they got off rather easy as we couldn't do a lot of stuff to them that were done to us when we were juniors. Water playing was limited as most girls were wearing white shirt and they didn't have spare scout pants to change into. I distinctly remember one particularly gruelling commando cross where we had run around the field piggyback, carry a bakau and run around the field and do push-ups in the mud. I can't imagine how I managed to survive all that. *shakes head in disbelief* Michelle and I plot wickedly and tie strings to divide the corridor into tiny compartments into which the juniors have to cross through without touching any of the strings or they'll get punished. Hehehe...*rubs hands gleefully* Yeap, I'm mean and she's evil so what do you expect?!

Poor Vincent ends up doing 50 push-ups cause he loses a bet with the juniors.
Lesson learnt : Don't bet with the juniors unless you know you're going to win. =p

Rush home with keys that don't belong to me. Oops, sorry! Wasn't intentionally done, ya know... After church, I meet up with the rest at Talipon where we celebrate Cze, Michi's and Beng's birthday. Its a steamboat/bbq buffet thing. We see Chuan Abee and some familiar college faces at the restaurant. I don't really do steamboat as I'm more focused on the bbq. Its quite smokey and steam keeps blowing at me. The margarine keeps on splattering people randomly so there was a lot of yelps and chair-scraping as we all try to avoid getting spattered by hot planta. I don't really eat much cause my tummy has passed its hunger stage and I can't kick-start it back. Besides, I'm not quite in the mood to pig out.

We head to The Curve for a drink where we run into May Vern. I also meet an old friend there, which is a quirky coincidence; meeting a church friend at of all places, a bar. We split a jug of sangria and chat while doing some people-watching. We spot a mother carrying her baby outside the bar. Talk about getting into the partying scene young. =p I decide not to finish all of my drink as my face is warming up and I don't wanna go home all flushed and red. And no, I'm not drunk (How can anyone get drunk on one glass of sangria anyway?). I just have excellent blood circulation. Thanks for the ride home, Cze. I hope you, Mich and Beng had a jolly time. I turn into a pumpkin and slowly drift off to sleep pleasantly with damp hair all over my pillow.

Sunday :
I proceed to sleep in and I get poked awake by my mother. Continue an ongoing battle with my math work. My sister calls from Boston where she is holidaying while I'm working my brains off on the Sabbath. Grrr...! Pop into the club library while my brother learns how not to drown.

We head out for dinner at The Curve. What, so soon again? Yeap, you heard me right. My mum is bored of 1U, so we decide to go to The Curve and see what's good to eat. We end up going to Marche's as I don't want Chinese food and my dad doesn't want Fridays or Italiannies. Besides, my brother really likes Marche and he calls it 'the restaurant that has all those cows where you can walk around and chose what you want'. Today, I try to be good and cut down on my calorie intake as we plan to go to Paddington's later. I only have a mushroom soup and a salmon & cheese rosti. Sadly, I got tempted by this luscious looking chocolate gannaca and I decide to split it with my mum. The choc cream was rich enough, but the actual cake wasn't moist enough.

We head over to Paddington's House of Pancakes (PHOP) and we all share this 'dollar pancake thing' which has ermm...strawberries, bananas, hazelnut cream, dollar pancakes, honey, coconut flesh and ice cream and some other delightful stuff that I can't remember. The pancake dish is nice, but the place is a bit warm and the service there isn't that great. I might consider popping in there another time though.

I somehow feel like this weekend flew past me on super-sized wings. Actually, weekends seem to go by faster and faster ever since I started having Friday classes again and I need a longer reprieve from the weekday grind. I really need to start prioritizing things. And fast, before my entire schedule slam bangs into one whole gory mess.

I so want a 3 day weekend.
I crave a choc frappe right now.
And mostly, I need you to help me relook things in your own laidback way.
Its like winding down in comfy pj's with a good book.
Solid, relaxed, reassuring, present and comfortable.
